Direct extra airflow at the driver, passenger or rear cabin, then move the same rechargeable fan to camp, the awning or the workbench.
Create a strong personal breeze while driving instead of waiting for an older factory fan to eventually catch up. No 12V socket is required.
Useful for delivery routes, parked breaks and hot cabs. Choose a compact single-motor setup or step up to DualForce for larger cabins and stronger airflow.

From fan to vehicle fan in seconds
The rechargeable system lets you place airflow close to the person who needs it, then remove the entire setup when the drive is over.
Use the magnet only on suitable ferrous metal. For plastic, non-magnetic metal or upholstered areas, use the anti-slip base, clamp or another secure holder option.
Personal airflow works best at close range. Point the outlet toward the face, chest or torso without blocking controls, mirrors, airbags or your view of the road.
Recharge by USB-C and use the same fan in the garage, at camp, on a desk or clipped to your body. Avoid storing battery-powered devices inside a heat-soaked parked vehicle.

Car fan or portable car air conditioner?
Many products advertised as a "portable car air conditioner" are actually small fans or evaporative coolers. Before buying, decide whether you need personal airflow or true refrigerated cabin cooling.
Buying guide
A tiny USB car fan may look neat on a dashboard, but the useful question is how much air reaches you once road and engine noise are added. More air volume gives you better close-range cooling, especially in a large cabin.
For quiet cruising, use a lower setting. For slow traffic, parked breaks or a sudden blast of heat, turn it up. The highest settings are naturally more audible because the fan is moving more air.
A good dashboard fan should stay put without becoming permanent. Magnetic mounts are excellent on suitable steel surfaces, particularly in many older vehicles, but magnets do not attach to non-magnetic metals, plastic or every modern dashboard.
That is why the CapyCool system also offers a stable base and clamp options. Whatever you choose, keep the fan clear of airbags, steering controls, pedals, gear selectors and your line of sight.
A traditional 12V car fan can work well, but it occupies a socket and usually leaves a cable running through the cabin. A rechargeable car fan can be positioned more freely and keeps working when the engine is off.
The trade-off is simple: remember to charge it. Large 10,000mAh and 14,500mAh batteries reduce how often that needs to happen and can also provide emergency phone power.
For a driver in a compact car, one well-positioned fan is often enough. In a broad classic-car cabin, 4x4, 4WD vehicle or van, a second fan lets the driver and passenger aim airflow independently.
Two smaller targeted fans can also be more useful than one fan placed far away in the center because moving air feels strongest when it reaches the skin directly.
Portable car fan questions, answered honestly
Straight answers for classic-car owners, 4x4 and 4WD drivers and anyone trying to keep cool in a vehicle without reliable air conditioning.
Choose a rechargeable fan with enough airflow to reach your face and torso, a large battery, multiple speeds and a secure mount. The OG vehicle bundle is the compact all-rounder; DualForce is better for larger cabins or anyone who wants maximum airflow. Neither replaces true A/C, but both provide direct personal cooling.
A fan cools people by moving air across the skin and helping sweat evaporate. It does not refrigerate the air or materially lower the temperature of a closed cabin. The benefit is targeted comfort for the driver or passenger, especially with windows open slightly or existing ventilation bringing in outside air.
No. CapyCool vehicle fans are powerful personal fans. A true air conditioner uses refrigeration and must remove heat from the cabin. Products that run from a small USB battery cannot deliver the same whole-cabin cooling as fitted or properly powered portable A/C.
No. Magnets only attach to suitable ferrous metal, such as many steel dash structures and brackets. They will not attach directly to plastic or other non-magnetic surfaces. Use the anti-slip holder, clamp or another secure mounting surface when a magnet is unsuitable.
Yes. A removable car fan is particularly useful when you want better airflow without changing an original interior or installing a permanent A/C retrofit. Many classic cars also provide useful metal mounting points, but always test magnet compatibility and protect valuable finishes before use.
No. Both CapyCool vehicle fan bundles have built-in rechargeable batteries and charge by USB-C. That removes the need for a permanent 12V cable and lets you use the fan when the vehicle is off, at camp or outside the car.
Runtime depends heavily on speed. The OG and DualForce models can run up to 40 hours on lower settings, while full power uses the battery much faster. DualForce delivers around four hours at maximum output. For most drives, lower and middle speeds provide the best balance of airflow, noise and runtime.
Yes, provided it is mounted securely and positioned safely. Install and aim it before driving. It must not obstruct your view, controls, mirrors, airbags, pedals or gear selector, and loose cables or accessories should never be allowed near the driver.
We recommend taking it with you rather than storing a battery-powered device in a vehicle exposed to extreme heat and direct sun. The removable mount makes that easy. A portable fan should also never be used as a reason to leave a child, pet or vulnerable person in a parked vehicle.
Yes. Rechargeable power is useful when sockets are limited, and the same fan can move from the cab to camp, a tent, awning, shed or workbench. DualForce is the better choice for a large 4x4, 4WD vehicle, van or truck cabin; the OG is easier to carry and suits more compact spaces.
Choose a removable CapyCool vehicle fan setup for your classic car, 4x4 or 4WD, pickup or ute, van or everyday drive and aim serious airflow exactly where you need it.
