Does it make real espresso, or is it more like strong coffee?
It brews real espresso. The CapyPress uses 20 bar pressure extraction, which is the same pressure used in proper café machines. You get genuine crema on top, the right body, and the full aroma. That said, like any espresso machine, the quality of your coffee and how fine you grind it will affect the result. Use a good medium to dark roast, and you will be impressed with what comes out of this thing.
What capsules does it work with?
The CapyPress works with three brewing methods: small Nespresso Original compatible capsules (the ones you find at Woolies, Coles, Harris Farm), large Dolce Gusto style pods, and ground coffee using the included adapter. It does not work with Nespresso Vertuo pods. Vertuo pods use a completely different spinning extraction system and are not compatible with any 20 bar pressure machine. If your capsules are the small oval ones (Original style), you are good to go.
How long does it take to brew a coffee?
Using pre-heated water, you will have a coffee in under a minute once it is flowing. If you are starting from cold water and letting the CapyPress heat it for you, allow around 5 minutes total. The digital display shows you the temperature climbing in real time so you always know where you are in the process. For most people on a worksite or campsite, the 5-minute self-heat brew is perfectly practical. Cold brew espresso shorts only take seconds!
How many coffees can I get from one charge?
It depends on how you brew. Using cold water with self-heating to boiling, you will get 3 to 5 coffees from a full charge of the 7500mAh battery. If you add pre-heated water from a kettle, flask, or camp stove, the battery lasts much longer, up to 40 to 50 extractions. Plenty of people keep a small thermos of hot water alongside the CapyPress so they can get a full day's worth of coffees out of a single charge.
How do I charge it?
USB Type-C, and the cable is included in the box. Charge it from a power bank, a car charger, a laptop, or any USB-C wall plug. A standard 10W+ charger works well.
Is it hard to clean?
The main parts disassemble easily and rinse under running water. After each brew, run a small amount of clean water through the machine to flush out any grounds or coffee residue. The stainless steel water tank wipes out easily. Most users find a 2-minute clean after each use is all it takes. There are no paper filters to buy.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. All CapyPress units sold through CapyCool come with a 1-year Australian warranty. We ship from our Sydney warehouse, so any warranty or support queries are handled locally. No dealing with overseas customer service or waiting weeks for a replacement part.

Really good machine, well built and high quality. Can make alot of cold shots, but can only do maybe 4-5 cups of hot coffee (it needs to boil the water, guess that takes alot of power) which isn't too bad honestly. Overall pretty happy with the purchase, not crazy price compared to some of the $300+ ones on the market, does its job really well for the price

Is good that it takes many different sized pods, however it is quite large & heavy. So chucking in your bag for hiking isnt really ideal, great for camping though.
works well except it doesn't accept some Victoria capsules but I open them & put the coffee in the ground coffee part & it works well.
I love it. I tried with the ground coffee first and thought it was q bit weak, I also bought Nespresso capsules and it was heaps better! I buy grinders smooth and creamy ground coffee (Creama) I bought the purple Nespresso capsules as I've had them before and they are the best!!

Got it for xmas for a few camping trips we planned. super useful being able to get hot coffee on go! Prob can do maybe 3-4 hot cups on a charge, but it’s enough for me and hubby. We got a powerbank which we use to top it up for longer trips
Bought this for camping trips over summer and I absolutely love it! It ain’t no barista coffee, but when your 3 hours from the nearest servo, a nice hot espresso in minutes is already a dream! Love it
